The National Youth Service Corps has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to keep to its pledge of ensuring the safety and welfare of all corps members deployed as ad hoc staff for the general elections. The iconic fashion designer, who was the creative director of Chanel, died after a period of ill health that lasted for weeks. Karl Lagerfeld died on Tuesday, February 19th, French magazine  Closer  reports. He had missed two of Chanel's haute couture shows in Paris on January 22, but the fashion company only said at the time he was feeling tired.  In a statement read out after he missed the second show, it said: "Mr Lagerfeld, artistic director of Chanel, who was feeling tired, asked Virginie Viard, director of the creative studio of the house, to represent him." Chelsea chiefs want to see evidence Maurizio Sarri can improve the Blues – or the Italian’s time at Stamford Bridge may be short lived.  That is according to ESPN FC pundit and European football expert Julien Laurens.
