MMA fighter Rodrigo de Lima killed after Uber altercation

MMA fighter Rodrigo de Lima was killed Sunday night in Brazil after a dispute with an Uber driver. The UFC veteran was 28 years old. According to one of his friends, de Lima and the Uber driver got into a heated argument and then the driver intentionally ran him over, killing de Lima on impact. His most recent MMA bout took place last June at Shooto Brazil 85, which he won in a first-round submission. He also appeared in two UFC bouts in 2014 and 2015. The Uber driver has been identified by local authorities, per a news site in Brazil, but he has not yet been arrested.

Nicolas Cage's estranged wife is asking for spousal support - despite the fact they were only married for four days. The 'National Treasure' star tied the knot with Erika Koike - who he had been dating for nearly a year - in Las Vegas last month but the Hollywood actor asked for an annulment just four days after, claiming he was drunk at the time and "lacked understanding of his actions in marrying [Koike] to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage". However, whilst Erika is happy to end the couple's short-lived marriage, she wants him to pay spousal support to her as she claims she has lost job opportunities during their year-long relationship and she also alleges that her reputation has been damaged by the allegations he has made. NBA fines 76ers' Butler, Nets' Dudley for altercation

Brooklyn Nets forward Jared Dudley and Philadelphia 76ers swingman Jimmy Butler were each fined Sunday for their roles in an on-court incident during a playoff game in New York. Dudley was fined $25,000 for escalating an on-court incident that spilled into the spectator seating area by shoving Philadelphia's Joel Embiid. Butler was fined $15,000 for shoving Dudley and escalating the altercation even further. Both players received technical fouls and were ejected with 7:42 remaining in the third quarter Saturday in Philadelphia's 112-108 victory over Brooklyn at Barclays Center. The incident began when Embiid, who had elbowed Brooklyn's Jarrett Allen in the face in game two, was whistled for a hard foul on Allen that prompted Dudley to rush at Embiid. Butler and Ben Simmons went into the spectator section due to the shoving during the incident. An anti-poaching ranger in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has described his striking selfie with a pair of endangered mountain gorillas as "just another day in the office". Virunga National Park anti-poaching ranger Mathieu Shamavu posted his selfie with the two gorillas on Facebook as part of his units' efforts to raise awareness and funds for the species at the UNESCO World Heritage site. The image, featuring the two gorillas standing upright and looking at the camera, has grabbed international attention on social media, bringing the plight of the species into the spotlight. According to the Virunga National Park website, one third of the world's population of critically endangered mountain gorillas live in the region. The park is protected by a team of more than 600 rangers, and is situated in a region of the country which has been impacted by war for more than 20 years.
