Somali-American model Halima Aden just made history by gracing the pages of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue wearing a hijab and burkini. The Kenyan-born model said it was a "dream come true." Sports Illustrated announced the newest member of its "Swimsuit family" on Monday. The iconic magazine said for Aden's swimsuit spread, they chose the perfect place: her birth country. Her photoshoot was shot on Watamu Beach with photographer Yu Tsai. Aden opened up about how much the photoshoot meant to her in an interview with SI. "Growing up in the states, I never felt represented, because I could never flip through a magazine and see a girl who was wearing a hijab," she said. Pope Francis donated $500,000 on Saturday to assist Central American migrants currently in Mexico. The money is allotted to help migrant communities amid supposed waning publicity. “Media coverage of this emergency has been decreasing and as a result, aid to migrants by the government and private individuals has also decreased,” read a Vatican statement. The funds are expected to be meted out to 27 projects associated with 16 Mexican dioceses and congregations. The money will be used for food, lodging and basic necessities. In recent months, thousands of migrants have arrived in Mexico, having traveled more than (2,500 miles) on foot and with makeshift vehicles from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala,” read a press release from Peter’s Pence, the organization that’s distributing the funds. “Men and women, often with young children, flee poverty and violence, hoping for a better future in the United States. Horacio Sala, Emiliano Sala's father dies of heart attack

Emiliano Sala's father has died of a heart attack three months after his footballer son was tragically killed in a plane crash. Julio Muller, the mayor of his hometown of Progreso, Argentina, confirmed that the 58-year-old died on Friday. He said he died during the night and paramedics were unable to save him. He said: "2019 doesn't let up in shocking us with news in this town. "At 5 o'clock in the morning, the lady, his wife, rang me and she was very upset. The doctors were there but when I arrived at their home, he had already died." Emiliano Sala was killed, along with pilot David Ibbotson, when the Piper Malibu aircraft they were travelling in came down in the English Channel on January 21, two days after Cardiff had made him their record signing.
