Prince Harry wanted to give up royal title - but one thing stopped him
When we look at photos of Prince Harry carrying out official Royal duties, he looks completely at ease.
He's a natural with members of the public, and his friendly and down-to-earth approach has won hearts across the world.
But there was a time when the Prince considered giving it all up and leaving the Royal Family.
In an explosive interview the Duke, who is now sixth in line to the throne, confessed to "kicking his heels" for years and considering quitting The Firm.
But one thing stopped him - his grandmother The Queen Last year Harry told the Mail on Sunday the Queen motivated him to pursue a role in charity work, and he's done that ever since.
He said: "There was a time I felt I wanted out.
"But then I decided to stay in [the Royal Family] and work out a role for myself.”
Harry has spent the last few years raising money and awareness for different causes close to his heart.
One of the biggest is a mental health campaign, which he spearheaded with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
He said: "We are incredibly passionate with our charities and they have been chosen because they are on the path shown to me by our mother. I love charity stuff and meeting people."
The prince has spoken candidly in the past about dealing with the death of his mother Princess Diana and revealed he sought professional help about his mental health.
Harry also said he just wanted to be a "bad boy" during his time at Eton, and wished he didn't want to grow up when he was serving in the Army. The prince has also caused controversy in the past by saying that no one in the royal family wants to be king or queen.
He clarified that he is committed to ensuring the Monarchy lasts and along with his older brother, wants to pull it into the 21st Century.
He said: "There will be changes and pressure to get them right.
"Things are moving so fast, especially because of social media, so we are involved in modernising the Monarchy."
Of his time in the army, Harry said: "Being in the army was the best escape I've ever had.
"I felt like I was really achieving something."
Like his late mother Princess Diana, Harry said: "I have a deep understanding for all sorts of people from different backgrounds and felt like I was part of a team.
"I also wasn't a prince. I was just Harry."
